Federico Albanese is presenting his new EP Days of passage, consisting of 7 pieces, one of which, ‘The diary’, has already been released as a single.
Albanese stands out because of his modern and electronic classical tones with traces of jazz and avant- pop. His new work, written and recorded in Berlin, processes thoughts and emotions in connection with a major point of inflection in his life. He explains that “it is essentially a voyage to the imagination, almost like a dream. Music describes all the hopes, challenges and fears that can overcome us when we start to question what the future holds for us.” Albanese’s musical versatility is a natural gift that pushes him to explore music in all its facets. His compositions are airy and cinematic, blending classical music, pop and psychedelia. In addition to his piano soundscapes that fuse genres, he also incorporates guitar, bass guitar, violin and electronic elements.
The Italian producer, pianist and composer Federico Albanese (Milan, 1982) started writing and recording his own material until 2014, when he released his debut album The houseboat and the moon, followed by The blue hour (2016) and By the deep sea (2018). All of them have been praised by critics and fans alike. In 2022 he published Before and now seems infinite, which he presented during a lengthy tour all over Europe with concerts in many major cities, including, amongst many others, London, Dublin, Copenhagen and Berlin.
