“Don Juan Tenorio and don Luis Mejía, two gallants, adventurers and womanizers with no principles, except for bravery in love and war, compete about their female conquests, with a challenge that goes beyond conceivable limits. Don Juan, who seduces Doña Inés after outwitting his rival by also seducing the latter’s future wife, will even risk his life as part of his bet when he realizes he is in love with the young novice. In the sensual atmosphere fostered by the city of Seville, in the midst of the symbols of death that Spanish iconography offers the drama, this play is a hymn to love and to life based on remorse and the Christian concept of forgiveness.  Two hundred years ago this story of libertines, which had been moving the public for centuries, was superbly transposed to the stage. With the objective of stirring emotions, and with the great pleasure of reciting verses that are immortal in our theatre, we bring you this Don Juan Tenorio.”  Miguel Murillo
