“We are in a society without cell phones, which retrogresses when it evolves, art, color, bell bottom pants… We are in the 70s; we hear threatening sounds, others refer us to the eternal classical jazz, with touches of sounds of a city of the past, when street lights did not have seagull nests. Perhaps there is interest for flashes of radio stations that take us through time, to other countries, to places of our unconscious. The space created is suggestive, changing and scintillating, together with the wardrobe and the light”.  Natalia Menéndez
Cortázar en juego is a theatrical journey through the worlds of the Argentinian author with the expressive force of his words, the appeal of his stories, the enigma of his characters. Intertwined stories that arise one from the other, as in a game of Russian dolls, overlapping stories, stories looking for their own connection like in the game of hopscotch.
With the work of Cortazar spread out, dazzling, amusing, dangerous: is it possible to choose just a few stories? No. Nonetheless, unexpectedly, we find in his plays –Adiós, Robinsón and Nada a Pehuajó– a door to enter this dramatic labyrinth that proposes a humoristic, poetic, fantastic, ethical, political and philosophical Cortazian tour. A secret itinerary where, perhaps, each spectator will find his/her game, and intimate/different plot  Just as we find ours.
Cortázar en juego is also a living anthology of the author’s short stories, fragments of Rayuela, Manual de instrucciones, Ocupaciones raras and Papeles inesperados… that allow the spectator to pass through some of Cortazar’s many worlds.”  José Sanchis Sinisterra and Clara Sanchis Mira
