Siempreviva, by director, choreographer and performer Mar Gómez is an interdisciplinary dance theatre show with live music that moves between realism and parody. The ‘siempreviva’ is a perennial plant that is very resistant to the toughest growing conditions. A survivor. Just like the main character of this bizarre story of resistance and liberation, a woman trapped in the sexist values of our present-day society.
In the course of its 30-year career, this dance-theatre company has developed a style of its own, characterised by the combination of a very personal choreographic language together with other more theatre-related components such as storytelling, gestures and, above all, a great sense of humour.
