Maria Callas is at the decline of her life. She lives in Paris, away from everything. Her voice is no longer what it used to be. Critics were harsh at her last performances and she has not sung again in public. Onassis has died. The reality of her decadence makes her live a world of recollections. She disdains the present, forcing her rehearsal accompanist to join her in an imaginary repertoire which she can no longer perform. She also uses him to create a sadomasochist situation. She obliges him to play the part of Onassis, her great love. Her most passionate and stellar moments. In her delirium, she imagines Onassis as her partner in the major opera dramas in which she has starred. Someone who kills her or someone with whom she dies at the end of the opera. This is the beginning of the path towards her own, mysterious end, which she will soon provoke voluntarily.
