Loo is a very strong, hot and dry wind that is generated in the western Indo-Gangetic plain.
Given its extremely low levels of humidity and high temperatures, it also dehydrates and dries out vegetation. In addition to being the name of this wind, Loo also is the name of our main character, the personification of this wind. The show is a representation of its arduous task to push the dunes of the desert and devastate the humid areas, seas and oceans it comes across along its path, leaving boats caught in the middle of a sea of sand and quashing forever their possibility to navigate.
The company Ponten Pie was founded in 2009 by Sergi Ots, its director, with the objective of creating personal projects related to the performing arts, with a personal and independent space for theatrical creation and investigation. Since then, the company’s projects have been performed internationally.
