A collection of select passages from some of the most prominent operas and zarzuelas of his particular repertoire have been chosen for this lyrical gala in which enthusiasts will have the chance to enjoy a noteworthy group of singers to whom maestro Jose Maria Moreno has assigned the most adequate pieces for their vocal skills. This has been the main criterion of the selection, together with the musical quality of each piece as a fundamental premise for the preparation of this programme.  Major figures of opera, such as Rossini, Puccini, Verdi, Offenbach, Meyerbeer, Massenet and Dvořák will be present in the first part of the concert, in contrast with the second part, mainly devoted to the different types of zarzuela by renowned authors, including Marqués, Sorozábal, Serrano, Fernández Caballero, Moreno Torroba and Asenjo Barbieri, together with a singular example of a Latin song, La rosa y el sauce by the admired Argentinian composer Carlos Guastavino.
Fans of the lyric genre can look forward to an exceptional evening with this select vocal anthology in which some of the most beautiful music for voice of romanticism will be performed by singers at the peak of their career, under the direction of maestro Jose Maria Moreno, great connoisseur and experimented performer of the lyric genre, which all together ensures a brilliant performance of the last piece of the lyric gala’s programme, Par nos chansons et par nos cris, oui, voilà la vie parisienne, final scene of La vie parisienne, the famous opéra bouffe by the Franco-German composer and cellist Jacques Offenbach.
