A irmandade das estrelas was Carlos Nuñez’s first record and a milestone of traditional music inside and outside Spain. During the 25 years since it was published, the most universal Galician bagpipe player has toured the world non-stop, has published a dozen albums, of which he has sold more than one million copies, and has elevated his instrument to another dimension, being the first to bring it into the three major temples of music, namely the Musikverein of Vienna, the Royal Albert Hall of London and the Carnegie Hall of New York …., and to connect it to the music and voices of artists as disparate as Serrat, Julio Iglesias, Ry Cooder, Jordi Savall, Carlinhos Brown, Carmen Linares, Montserrat Caballé, Ryuichi Sakamoto… and the cinema of Saura and Amenábar.
A scholar and expert in Celtic music, Carlos Nuñez’s charisma, energy and pioneering spirit have converted him in an extraordinary musician, one of the  most serious and brilliant of his generation.
