Navajita Plateá is one of the most acclaimed flamenco duos of the Spanish music scene, whose members come from renowned gypsy family dynasties in Jerez de la Frontera. With more than 25 years in the music industry, they have participated in hundreds of concerts and performances all over the world. Their classic 'Noches de bohemia' has been performed by groups such as Maná, The Kelly Family, Concha Buika, Alba Molina, Moraíto Chico, Diego Carrasco, Ana Belén, Manzanita, Sorderita and Jarabe de Palo. And they have shared the stage with international artists such as Chuck Berry and Joe Cocker.
Their debut album, Navajita plateá, was the soundtrack for Imanol Uribe's film Días contados. Their second album, Contratiempos, took them straight to the Billboard charts and to their first Gold Record with the single 'Frío sin ti'. Their third studio album, Desde mi azotea, went Triple Platinum, and the legendary track 'Noches de bohemia' was the Best Song of the Year at the Spanish Music Awards (SGAE and AIE). Their fourth album, Hablando en plata, was nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album; and their fifth, En familia, positioned them at the forefront of the ‘new flamenco’.
Their eclectic sound, along with their flamenco roots mixed with blues, rock, Latin and hip hop, continues to fill venues wherever they go.
