In her Tour Si se achucha, entra, María Peláe presents a show that is fresh, amusing, vivacious, with a great deal of cockiness and above all, committed to social reality with her characteristic proclamations, new songs and all of her major hits. The Tour, which started in March in the island of Fuerteventura, owes its curious name to the artist’s beginnings: "It was the title of the first “proclamation” I made when I was seven or eight years old, which was called, Si se achucha, entra, in which I included in four minutes everything that annoyed me. Seven years later, since I continue to sing it, I decided to use the title for the Tour, because I have gone back to that and to everything I did afterwards as well”.
María Peláe has found inspiration in great women artists like Lola Flores, Rocío Jurado and Celia Cruz, and in artists with different styles such as Chano Lobato, Juan Luis Guerra, Carnaval de Cádiz and Residente, which is why the mixture of rhythms and references in her songs is not surprising. In any case, after fifteen years in the world of music, María Peláe’s music sounds like María Peláe. Music with an Andalusian accent and international production, originality, with committed lyrics full of social criticism mixed with the most current sounds, which have made her one of the major promises of the Spanish musical scene.
