During the last twenty years, two Andalusian lyric singers have engraved their names in gold on some of the major opera stages around the world. The soprano from Granada Mariola Cantarero and the tenor from Jerez Ismael Jordi have shaped their careers with talent and effort, and have achieved success together and separately, enticing an audience overwhelmed by the beauty of their voices, their command of the stage and the passion and energy with which they represent each one of the roles they have performed. Their careers have now converged in a project that seeks to celebrate, together with an audience to which they have given so much joy, their twenty years on stage, and at the same time to thank them for the recognition they have achieved as bulwarks of the most international Andalusian belcantism. This concert is a journey through the great romances and duets of zarzuela y opera arias that have marked their artistic careers.
