“In the form of a jazz trio or a flamenco quartet – in Cadiz quartets consist of three or five members– Rosario Toledo (dancer), Blanca Barranco (double-bass) and Javier Galiana (piano) present these Playeras that stem from an incredible album recorded by the two musicians during the state of siege of the damned coronavirus pandemic. They wanted to dedicate the record to the beaches, yes, to all the beaches in the world. We sing what we lose, and some of that loss seeps through the strings of the cello and the piano, something that has made Rosario's restless feet move. She saw footprints on the beach and didn't realise they were her own feet! That’s where Playeras comes from.”  The Company
