Put yourself in their shoes tells us about the struggle to achieve our dreams, and the effort and satisfaction that comes with it. This proposal integrates academic and urban dance, live music, narration and new technologies. Aimed at a young audience, it defends the arts as a tool for personal development, to enhance in them (young people) the ability to empathize with those around them, equality and respect, as well as autonomy and self-confidence without judging others. There is no better way to get to know others than by putting yourself in their shoes.
In 2010, the choreographers and dancers David Segura and Pepa Martín travelled to Oulu, Finland, where they initiated a creative process involving classical dance and breakdance. On returning to Spain they decided to create their own company and continue researching their method. At present they continue to train all over the world and to investigate their own body language, creating shows for audiences of all ages. In 2016, David Segura won the award for Best Contemporary Dance Performer of the Performing Arts Association of Andalusia, with the support of the SGAE Foundation.
