‘Merak’ comes from Serbian and refers to the feeling of union with the universe that can be attained through the simplest of pleasures. The idea of this piece is based on work centred around the tiniest sensitive and sensorial concepts we come across in our daily lives, attaching importance to the smallest details that surround us and that make us special: awareness of the present.
RaulDuran Cía. de Danza was founded in Malaga in 2018 and its first show was Cuerpo-Escombro, presented at the Echegaray Theatre as one of the New Talents of Dance in Malaga. Raul Duran directed and performed the street piece La ceremonia de la despedida together with Nieves Rosales (Cía. SilencioDanza), and in 2021 coproduced La mecánica del latido for Factoría de Cine. His most recent projects include the production of Ikigai, premiered at Danza Málaga 2020, and Recuerdos olvidados, together with María Moguer.
